The special Instructions should direct the chief of field party to report promptly conditions that call for additional or modified instructions together with a recommend procedure (Manual Reference 7-2 subheading 10.)

Section 6-22 of the manual states; The report of a field examination consists of a diagram to scale, a narrative and the field notes of the retracement made. The diagram shows the correlation of existent original corners established by local surveyors and any monuments of unknown origin.
