By combining the two records, the more recent survey may become distorted. Experience and good judgment are required in applying rules. If a survey was carelessly executed, no definite standard can be set up as representing that survey.

 

 

 

 

 

When complications develop the surveyor should report to his supervising office, the identity and correlation of corners, or other evidence recovered before restoring the lost corners.
