Section 1 - Cardinal Equivalents- Try It

Answer:
  • The line between secs. 21 and 22: N 0° 43’ E 81.22
  • The line between secs. 15 and 16: N 0° 40’ W 76.44
  • The line between secs. 15 and 22: N 88° 58’ W 79.02
  • The line between secs. 16 and 21: S 83° 18’ W 79.36
  • The MOVE from Temp: N 35° 32’ E 1.743

If you didn't reduce the measurements to cardinal equivalents, you would have calculated the following:

The MOVE from Temp : N 34° 06’ E 1.630

You can see that by not using cardinal equivalents the corner position is wrong by a substantial amount.
