  Precedence of Topographic Calls

The primary overriding situations have to do with topographic references in the field notes. These are always given precedence. If the line should follow a certain ridge then your resurvey must keep the line right on the ridge.

To determine the rotation in angle of a grant boundary as well as the over all change in scale, two primary lines are used to base proportional calculations. One of these is a line from the starting identified control corner to the final location at the end of your record resurvey.

It is called the record connecting line.
