Now, let's look at an example of how the irregular boundary adjustment may be used to restore lost corners on an irregular boundary. For simplicity, the bearings and distances are not shown here.


 

 

 

 

 

The record courses were run and temps were set for the missing corners. A tie was made to the found corner from the last temp. The deflection in alignment shown is extremely exaggerated for demonstration purposes.

 

 

 

 

 

Determine the latitude and departure of the tie. The tie is also referred to as the closing distance.
