If we have a lost point which relates in the record to only that point, we must, when all other search methods fail, set our resurvey corner at exactly what the record indicates.

This is an example where lines have been discontinued at the intersection with a large meanderable body of water.

 

 

 

 

 

This line was discontinued at the border of what was classed as impassable ground.



 

 

 

 

Here is a situation which occurs in fractional townships or where a line has been terminated in the partial survey of the subdivisional lines of a township.
