  Section 1 - Practice Exercise

You've been instructed to retrace the lines of Section 25 and locate or reestablish the corners. The only corner you can't locate is the corner of Sections 25, 26, 35, and 36.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Observe the record data and the retracement data. You have placed a temporary corner stake at the approximate corner position. As in the previous problem, the temporary corner stake will be used later as a point of reference from which the proportioned corner point will be established.

 

 

 

 

 

The temporary stake is usually marked with the section numbers and the abbreviation "temp" to avoid confusion with any other stakes in the vicinity.
